Stake Australia Registration – How to Sign Up and Verify a Stake Account
Opening a Stake account takes about a minute and needs only an email, a username and a password. This Stake Australia page walks through the Stake sign up form, the referral code that unlocks 3.5% rakeback, email confirmation and the identity checks that come later.
How to Sign Up for Stake
The Stake register form asks for very little at the start; personal details are added later during verification.
Press Register
The blue Register button sits at the top of every page on desktop and mobile.
Enter an email address
Use an address that stays reachable: it receives verification codes, password resets and bonus emails.
Choose a username
It appears in chat, on race leaderboards and in the list of recent bets, so a nickname is better than a real name.
Create a password
A password manager can generate a strong one, and a passkey can be added after registration.
Add a referral code
Open Referral Code (Optional) and type the code. It activates the 3.5% rakeback welcome bonus.
Confirm and register
Tick the box confirming age 18 or over and acceptance of the Terms, then press Register With Email.
Sign Up with Google, Facebook or Kick
Below the email form, Continue With Google creates an account in one step, and See More Options lists further providers; the home page shows Google, Facebook and Kick buttons, and the same options appear in the Stake app. Social sign-up is quick, but it changes two things:
- The password lives with that provider, so a Stake password reset does not apply; it is reset on Google, Facebook or Kick.
- Before every withdrawal Stake asks to re-verify with the same provider (OAuth verification), so access to that social account is needed whenever money is cashed out.
Players who share a phone or a Google account with family usually find a separate email registration more practical.
Stake Account Rules Worth Knowing
A few rules apply to every Stake account from the first day:
- One account per person. Alternative accounts are not allowed and can lose their balances.
- Real details. The name and country entered later must match the identity documents, otherwise withdrawals stall at verification.
- One referral code. A code typed in the form overrides any partner link clicked earlier; a forgotten code can still be added under Settings, Offers within 24 hours.
- No bought accounts. Offers to buy a verified Stake account break the Terms, and the seller keeps the email and documents, so the account can be taken back or closed.
There is no separate demo account. Some third-party games such as Avia Masters have a demo mode, and in-house games accept very small bets for practice.
Verify the Email Address
Right after registration, select Verify Account, open Confirm Your Email and enter the code from the message. If that step was skipped, Settings, Account, Email has a Confirm Email button; the same window can correct a mistyped address and resend the code.
A verified email is required for deposits, withdrawals, the monthly bonus and password resets, so it is the first thing to finish after a Stake sign up.
Stake Verification: KYC Levels
Know Your Customer checks are split into levels that are completed over time. The compliance team may ask for any level at any moment, and withdrawals can wait until a request is answered.
| Level | Information or document | When it is needed |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Full name, date of birth, residential address, country | Early on; unlocks races and raffles |
| Level 2 | Passport, national ID card or driver’s licence, both sides | When requested; also needed for chat rain rewards |
| Level 3 | Proof of address issued within the last six months | When compliance asks for it |
| Level 4 | Source of funds, such as payslips or bank statements | For larger activity |
Documents must be valid for at least three more months, photographed in colour with all four corners visible, without glare and in Latin international format. Screenshots, scans saved from apps and edited images are rejected. When a selfie with the document is requested, the face must stay uncovered, the picture must not be mirrored and the file must be JPG or PNG.
Proof of address can be a utility bill, a bank or credit card statement, a government or council letter, or a tenancy agreement. Mobile phone bills, purchase receipts, medical bills and anything older than six months are not accepted. Stake does not publish a fixed verification time; clear photos are the best way to avoid repeat requests.
After Registration: First Steps
- Protect the account with 2FA or a passkey; both secure the login and every withdrawal.
- Make the first crypto deposit from Wallet, Deposit. Every deposit has to be wagered once before it can be withdrawn.
- Check that the 3.5% rakeback appears on the VIP page; if not, add the referral code on the Offers page within 24 hours.
- Set deposit and loss limits before the first bet; lowering a limit works at once.
How to Close or Delete a Stake Account
To close a Stake account, open Responsible Gambling, Account Closure in the settings, choose a reason and confirm, or email accountclosure@stake.com from the registered address. A closed account can be reopened after a 24-hour cooling-off period. As for how to delete a Stake account completely: that is not possible, because the operator must keep certain data for legal and compliance reasons.
